RFQ PREPARATION

Manufacturing RFQ checklist: from drawing to delivery

Prepare a complete RFQ for turned parts, custom components and fabrication: drawing revisions, material, quantities, inspection and delivery scope.

ENS Makina San · Manufacturing guides · Updated:

A manufacturing RFQ should describe one consistent technical scope. Drawings or sample information, material, quantities, critical requirements and delivery expectations belong together. This makes quotations easier to compare and reduces ambiguity between purchasing and production.

Check the technical package

Include part code, drawing number and current revision. Send a dimensioned PDF and identify any accompanying model format. Confirm material grade and who supplies it. Separate initial quantities from possible repeat demand. Identify functional dimensions, surfaces, secondary operations, inspection and documentation requirements.

A request template you can fill in

Requirement: new part / repeat order / sample-based replacement
Part code and revision: …
Initial quantity: …
Material and supply responsibility: …
Functional dimensions and operating conditions: …
Secondary operations and required documents: …
Delivery country and city: …
Target date: …
Attached files and approved version: …

This template is an enquiry rather than an order or production approval. Price, suitability and delivery conditions follow technical assessment.

Compare the same scope

Check that competing quotations refer to the same drawing revision and quantity. Confirm whether raw material, heat treatment, coating, inspection, packaging and transport are included. A lower unit price with excluded operations may not represent a matching requirement. Ask for unclear responsibilities to be written into the quotation.

Where to send the enquiry

Email files to info@ensmakinasan.com and refer to the same part code in the RFQ form. The form does not upload files. If no drawing exists, use the sample guide. For supplier evaluation, visit machined parts manufacturing in Turkey.

Sık sorulan sorular

What information should I send first?

Send the current drawing or sample information, material, quantity, critical requirements and delivery destination together.

Can I upload a drawing through the form?

The form does not upload files. Email the drawing and use the same drawing number in your project summary.

Is my target date a confirmed delivery date?

No. The target date supports planning; delivery is agreed after the technical scope and schedule are assessed.
